San Francisco: The Diamond of California
San Francisco is a city founded by the Spanish Empire in the late 18th century. Later, it belonged to both the first Mexican Empire and the United Mexican States until it was finally incorporated into the official territory of the United States in the mid-19th century. San Francisco is the commercial, financial, and cultural center of Northern California.

Although the city is in the state of California, the weather is not hot there all year. Enjoy sun on one of the beaches in San Francisco Bay, swim in the Pacific Ocean, or go for sailing. Windsurfing or yacht is your choice. If you want to take part in an impressive event, travel to San Francisco in late June, when the annual San Francisco Pride Parade is organized there. Or celebrate the New Year in San Francisco with the annual Chinese New Year Parade. This event is the largest event organized by the Chinese in the world outside of China.
Food and Drink
Finding where to snack in San Francisco is not an issue. Head to one of the main restaurant blocks. The main restaurant streets are Mission and Guerrero. The restaurants on these streets will provide you with tasty and affordable catering facilities that will pamper you with Southern cuisine. The streets are full of Mexican, Italian, and Spanish restaurants. Drinking in San Francisco is also not difficult, there are many bars and nightclubs in the city that will offer you a wide range of beers, strong drinks, and traditional cocktails.

San Francisco may surprise you with a well-developed public transport system typical to European cities. The most popular way to get from one place to another is a tram, and tram network is well developed in the city.
